Meet Muse Media Inc. (the “Company,” “us” or “we”) is the provider of Snack, a dating app focused on Gen Z. We recognize that your privacy is important, and that your choice to share information with us is a critical part of how we help people connect. The Privacy Notice below describes how and why we collect, use and share your personal information.

This Privacy Notice applies to our collection of personal information through the Snack Website (located at
www.thesnackapp.com) and from your communications and interactions with us outside of the Snack mobile app (the “Services”).    

Please note that this Privacy Notice does not apply to our processing of personal information collected on the Snack mobile app, or about our employees or contractors. 1.       COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

When we use the term “personal information” in this Privacy Notice, we mean information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to you. It does not include aggregated or de-identified information that is maintained in a form that is not reasonably capable of being associated with or linked to you.

We collect and use personal information in a variety of different ways:

A.      Information You Provide to Us

Social Media.  We may offer you the opportunity to engage with us or our content on or through third-party social media websites, plug-ins and applications. When you engage with us on or through third-party social media websites, plug-ins and applications, you may allow us to have access to certain information associated with your social media account (e.g., name, username, email address, profile picture) to deliver content or as part of the operation of the website, plug-in or application.  Additionally, if you communicate with us on a third-party social media service, we may collect the contents of your communication and your contact information, which we may use to respond to you.

Marketing Communications.  You may select to receive email marketing communications with updates and other information regarding the Company and our Services by providing us with your email or creating an account with Snack. You can opt out of receiving marketing emails from us using the opt-out or “unsubscribe” instructions provided in the communication. Alternatively, you may contact our Privacy Officer at

Contact.  When you contact us with a comment or question, or while using our chat function, we collect the information you provide such as your username, email address, along with additional information that we may need to help us respond to your inquiry. We retain this information to assist you in the future and to improve our customer service and service offerings. We also use this personal information to establish and manage our relationship with you and provide quality service.

Job Applications.  If you apply for a job with the Company, we will collect your name, contact information, demographic information, education and work history, work eligibility information and any other information you choose to provide.  Eligible candidates may be asked to undergo a background check or other screening measures, which are facilitated by our third-party partners.  We use this information to determine your eligibility for the role, facilitate your candidacy, make hiring decisions, and communicate with you through the hiring process.

B.      Information We Collect Automatically

We use various technologies to collect information about the device or browser you use to navigate our Website or from your other interactions with us, including:

Web Logs.  We and our third-party service providers collect, process, store and analyze information obtained from your browser when you visit our website, including IP address, device identifiers, browser characteristics, operating system details, language preferences, referring URLs, length of visits, and pages viewed.

Cookies and Other Data Collection Technologies.  We and our third-party service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar tools that track, measure and analyze the behaviors and usage patterns of the Services. We use this information to help us to recognize you, customize or personalize your experience, understand how visitors engage with the Snack Website and to improve your overall experience with the Services. Google Analytics.  We use “Google Analytics” to collect information about your use of the Snack Website.  Google Analytics collects information such as how often users access the Services, what pages they access when they do so and what other sites they used prior to using the Services.  Google uses the data collected to track and examine the use of the Services, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.  To learn more about the use of data collection technologies by Google for analytics and to exercise choice regarding those technologies, please visit the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on page, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. To analyze, research, investigate and improve the use of our Services and interactions with users.

2.       SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share your personal information in the following ways:

Service Providers.  Your personal information may be transferred (or otherwise made available) to third parties who provide services on our behalf, such as technology providers who host and manage the Snack Website and our email communications providers, analytics providers and data storage providers.

Legal and Compliance.  We and our service providers may provide your personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to another organization for the purposes of investigating a breach of an agreement or contravention of law or detecting, suppressing or preventing fraud, or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable Canadian, US or other law or legal process. Your personal information may also be disclosed where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and to investigate or if we determine its disclosure is necessary to protect the health and safety of you or any other person, to protect against fraud or credit risk, or to enforce our legal rights or contractual commitments that you have made.

Sale of Business or Assets
.  Personal information may be provided to third parties in connection with a merger or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of the Company or as part of a corporate reorganization or stock sale or other change in corporate control, including for the purpose of determining whether to proceed or continue with such transaction or business relationship.

Publicly.  At your direction, we may make your information publicly available, such as if you post public comments on our sites or provide testimonials. Your personal information may be maintained and processed by us, our affiliates, and other third-party service providers in the US or other jurisdictions. In the event that personal information is transferred outside of Canada to the US or other foreign jurisdiction, it will be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be disclosed to or accessed by the courts, law enforcement and governmental authorities in accordance with those laws

Accessing, Modifying or Deleting Your Information.  If you have questions about reviewing, changing, or deleting your information, you can contact us directly by emailing or writing to us at the contact information set out below. We may request certain personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the individual seeking access to their personal information records.

How to Control Your Email Communications Preferences.  You can stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in the email.  You may not opt-out of Service-related communications (e.g., transactional communications, changes/updates to features of the Snack Website, technical and security notices).

4.       THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

The website may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, do not review and are not responsible for the privacy policies of or content displayed on such other websites. When you click on such a link, you will leave our service and go to another website. During this process, another entity may collect personal information from you. Similarly, the Services may contain integrations with third-party services, including those of our business partners.  By interacting with these third parties, you are providing information directly to the third-party and not us.  Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties or any entity that we do not own or control.  We encourage you to review the privacy policies and online terms of those third parties to learn more about how they handle your personal information.

5.       CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Use of the Snack Website is restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. The Snack Website is not targeted towards users under the age of eighteen.  We do not permit users under the age of 18 to use our website, and we do not knowingly collect or use personal information from anyone under the age of 18. 6.       REGION-SPECIFIC NOTICES

We may choose or be required by law to provide different or additional disclosures relating to the processing of personal information about residents of certain countries, regions or states. We have personal information retention processes designed to retain personal information for no longer than necessary for the purposes stated above or to otherwise meet legal requirements.
